Roma Clay Target Club Inc - Roma Gun Club
~ 100th birthday celebration & shoot - 21st, 22nd & 23rd November 2014 ~
Centenary Event - 1914 to 2014
I would like to thank the Sponsors, Volunteers and Shooters who all helped to make our 100th Anniversary Shoot such a great success. The club has now achieved a milestone that unfortunately many will never see. With only a small membership base the club relies heavily on help from outside, when conducting large events. Without this support these events would not be a success.
The facility itself is a credit to the shooting sports and was completed with help from many people and organisations, a lot of whom are not from the immediate area. This work is ongoing. We feel the club is a testament to what can be done when shooters from all over work to a common goal. The facility does not belong to us, we are merely caretakers. The facility belongs to all who have ever shot here, all who have ever sponsored us, and all who have ever supported us. We are not perfect but we do try 100%.
Please accept my personal thanks and I hope that all who attended or helped during the last 100 Years feel as proud as we do.
